Vice President and Chair of Board: Clyde F. Phelix, PhD


Dr. Phelix has an A.A.S in Medical Laboratory Technology, B.A. in Biology, and a PhD in Human Anatomy and Neuroscience from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He completed 3 years postdoctoral training in Physiology, Pharmacology, and Toxicology in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia - Athens.  He is currently a Professor in the Biology Department at the University of Texas – San Antonio (UTSA).  He is the instructor on Ethics, Biostatistics, and Regulatory GxPs for the graduate Biotechnology Program at UTSA. He is an inventor and faculty entrepreneur, Founder, Chair of the Board, and Vice President of AL Phahelix Biometrics, Inc.  He is the owner of CFPAL Biomedical Consultants and has served as Clinical Laboratory Director and Clinical Laboratory Technical Consultant while engaged by SouthWest Clinical Laboratory Consultants Co.​

Secretary and Board Member: Richard G. LeBaron, PhD

​Dr. LeBaron received his B.S. in Biology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. He received his PhD from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and completed his postdoctoral fellow at the Burnham Institute (formally the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation), La Jolla, CA. He served as a Senior Research Scientist at Advanced Tissue Sciences, La Jolla CA.. Dr LeBaron is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Founder, Officer and Board Member of AL Phahelix Biometrics, Inc. and he serves as a consultant for Southwest Clinical Laboratories.

President and Board Member: ​Dawnlee J. Roberson, MBA, PhD


Dr. Roberson received her B.S. in Biology, M.S. in Electrical Engineering and MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio.  She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.  After postdoctoral training she held a faculty position in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio.  She is a Senior Member of the IEEE.  She is currently a Founder, President, and Board Member of AL Phahelix Biometrics, Inc.  Additionally she has served in the US Air Force Reserves for many years.
